As an AGR with 19.5 years of active duty and 3 years of TPU time, I think I have 7900ish points which would grant me about the equivalent of just under 21 years of active duty retirement. The army reserve will put out an annual point sheet for you which tells you how many points you have. The value of each point changes with your time in service and grade at retirement (a SGTs points could be worth $.10 each vs a COL at $.45 each/not actual numbers, those also change regularly). The way reserve retirement works, you get 1 point for every day that you work in the army (2 points for each day during drill weekend).
